Amy Ash is the author of The Open Mouth of the Vase, winner of the Cider Press Review Book Award and the Etchings Press Whirling Prize post-publication book award. Her poems, prose, and collaborative work have been published in various journals and anthologies including The Journal, Ninth Letter, River Heron Review, SWWIM Every Day, Rogue Agent, and Erase the Patriarchy. After directing the Creative Writing program at Indiana State University for several years, she now serves as Chairperson of the Department of English at ISU.

NIGHTJAR creates an inclusive space for all by bringing together spoken-word performers and page-based poets writing in narrative, lyric, and experimental forms. Every third Wednesday, C.S. Carrier and Michelle Niemann host a reading and invite audience members to share their own poetic responses.
