About the Featured Poet:
Kandace Kyere is a licensed social worker, certified mental health coach, speaker, writer, and founder of Hello Kandace, LLC. With more than 12 years of experience working with youth, she is passionate about helping Black teens and young adults thrive through culturally affirming, trauma-informed, and strengths-based support. Her work centers mental and emotional wellbeing, self-discovery, healing, and creating spaces where young people feel valued and supported. Kandace also brings mindfulness, storytelling, and motivational interviewing into her work, drawing on both her professional experience and her own journey of lifelong learning and growth.
